The first two years I have taken and participated in courses offered by deferent departments. Hence from the department of drawing I have studied courses on still life, landscape, portrait and figure. From the department of Painting I have worked on water colour, tempera and oil painting techniques. In Graphic department I have completed courses on mono type printing, wood cut printing and lettering From Modelling department I have studied about sculpture and casting. In addition I have taken courses on Art history and different theoretical subjects that widen my scope as a modern Ethiopian artist.

After these two years I chose my specialization course at the department of Mural Art (Monumental Art) and worked on my project for two solid years. During these years I have acquired different techniques and my graduating work which is worked on wall of the academy building (exterior) with mosaic, oil paintings on canvas and mobile graffito, fresco and so on have been the beginning of my professional carrier as an artist. Spending my energy and talent on my project work has rewarded me as I graduated with distinction and offered an award from the academy and latter on become an instructor in the same Academy.
